Rarotonga Island
The island of Rarotonga is the Cook Islands newest island, with the largest population of approximately 13,000 people. The island is quite small and you can drive around comfortably in less than one hour. You can rent a car, bicycle or travel around by bus. The road follows most of the coast line and is a great way to get the feel for the island. Accommodation and resorts can be found all along the route. The Rarotonga airport is located on the north west side of the island, just a few kilometers from Avarua, the main town in Rarotonga and the Cook Islands.
