Location
The award-winning The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa is located on the island’s sunshine Southwest coast, where guests can enjoy all-day sun, stunning sunsets, a pristine uncrowded white sand beach, and excellent off-beach snorkelling in the protected marine sanctuary directly in front of the resort.
Expansively laid out amidst six acres of hibiscus, banana and coconut palms, most of The Rarotongan’s 109 rooms & suites are set on absolute beachfront. The Rarotongan has undergone extensive renovations and improvements. Our commitment to excellence is seen throughout the property, from the Cook Islands-themed rooms, extensive activities centre, some of the island’s finest cuisine and cultural shows, and more.
The Rarotongan is proud to offer Villa Onemaru - a private Luxury Villa. This upscale villa is located near the Resort, and provides upscale, luxury villa living for couples, families, or small groups to enjoy.
The Resort’s most obvious attraction is its stunning natural setting, nestled between the reef and the dramatic rainforest. But perhaps its best kept secret is the gentle good humour and genuine open-heartedness of the Resort staff. The resort and it’s wonderful people keep many of our guests returning year after year. The Rarotongan is ideally situated so you can explore this beautiful island. With regular local bus service, and car/bike/scooter rental facilities, the resort is a great base from which to explore the island.
Accommodation
Most of The Rarotongan’s rooms and suites, plus its restaurants, bar and magical Waterfalls Pool, are set at the edge of our pristine white sand beach.
Our rooms feature an ambience of classic island charm, and embrace the local Cook Islands culture. The Rarotongan offers 7 accommodation categories to suit guest requirements: Garden & Beachfront Rooms, Deluxe Beachside Suite, Deluxe Beachfront Suite, 2- bedroom Beachside Suite, Grand Beachfront Suite and our romantic and isolated Honeymoon Bungalow.
All rooms come equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, a spacious private veranda with outdoor furniture, super king size bed, ceiling fans, satellite TV & DVD player with free in-room movies, CD player/radio alarm clock, bath / shower, hairdryer, in- room safe, IDD phone with voicemail, automatic wake-up call services and dataport for e-mail & internet access for those with their own laptop, Stocked mini- bar & fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, daily housemaid service, filtered and UV purified water on tap, room service and more. Our Beachside Junior Suites, Deluxe Beachfront Junior Suites, 2-bedroom Beachside Suite, Grand Beachfront Suite and Honeymoon Bungalow all feature private open-air outdoor garden showers. The Honeymoon Bungalow features a private plunge pool,an outdoor spa jacuzzi tub on the wraparound deck, and even your own private sauna!
Also available are pairs of interconnecting rooms, plus two rooms specially adapted for disabled guests.

Dining & Entertainment
Indulge in the delights of the tropics. The Island cuisine at The Resort features the freshest of seafood, tropical island fruits and deliciously-prepared traditional dishes. Guests can select to dine in a variety of locations to match the mood.
Enjoy casual dining in Captain Andy’s Beach Bar & Grill, or enjoy fine island cuisine at our Te Vaka Restaurant. Modern continental fare is featured, along with some wonderful local traditional dishes.
The expansive veranda overlooking the sea is perfect spot for a sunset cocktail or dinner under the stars.

Diving

Families
For families, we offer a Kids Stay & Play Free program. Two children, 11 and younger, stay free when sharing with their parents. Also, children between the ages of 3-11 can enjoy Moko’s Kids Club, one of the finest childrens program in the South Pacific. Kids enjoy a multitude of activities, including arts and crafts, cultural activities, and video nights (allowing parents the opportunity to dine alone).

CHILD POLICY: Kids Stay Free! Up to 2 children 11 years and under Stay Free! when sharing with parents - includes rollaway or bunk beds as necessary. Two additional children may stay in the self-contained Two-Bedroom Garden Suite to a maximum of 2 adults and 4 children. For travel after 1 February 2010, children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the Beachfront Suites.
Interconnecting or adjoining rooms are available on request at time of booking and are subject to availability upon check-in.
Complimentary cots and baby baths are available on request.
Kids Play Free! Kids 3 to 11 years inclusive Play Free! at the fabulous year-round Moko’s Kids Club. Under 3’s are welcome to join in the fun with the supervision of a parent or caregiver. Moko’s Kids Club hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am - 12 noon, 2pm - 5pm and 7pm - 9pm year-round.
Babysitting costs NZ$12 per hour, maximum 2 children per babysitter. Bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. Service is subject to the availability of babysitters.
GROUPS & CONFERENCES: Group, incentive or conference rates are available on request. Specials and Rates listed are not applicable to Groups - please contact us for details.
HONEYMOONERS: All honeymoon couples staying a minimum of 5 nights or more recieve a bottle of chilled sparkling wine and his and hers pareus (sarongs) on arrival.
COMPLIMENTARY INCLUSIONS: Invitation to the General Manager’s Sunset Cocktail Party. 7-Day Activities Programme - includes a range of recreational & cultural activities such as Resort orientation, snorkelling, fish feeding, kayaking, beach volleyball, tennis, guided nature walks, cultural activities (e.g. coconut demonstrations, dancing and ei making lessons), and games room with big screen TV/video, pool table, table tennis and library.

Cancellations and Refunds
No Shows will incur the full amount of the reservation made. Late cancellations and early departures are subject to cancellation fees as stated below unless notified 30 days in advance.
Cancellations must be in writing and acknowledged by the Resort 30 days prior to scheduled arrival/departure date. Any bookings cancelled between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) days of travel will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Bookings cancelled fourteen (14) days or less from the date of travel will be charged a 100% cancellation fee. As pre-paid items are non-refundable, it is recommended that you take out Travel Insurance to cover such eventualities.
The Rarotongan Beach Resort reserves the right to alter or change these rates, inclusions and conditions without notice.
